A New Achievement from Evci Mühendislik at Atatürk Airport Project
With over 30 years of experience in waterproofing, we proudly bring another project to life. As Evci Mühendislik, we have partnered with Dijle Construction for a waterproofing application over a parking structure located in one of Istanbul’s key areas — Atatürk Airport. Following this application, an asphalt layer will be installed.
Project Highlights: Sopralene Flam 180 & Sopralene Flam Antirock P Membranes
A two-layer membrane system was selected for this project.
As the first layer, Sopralene Flam 180, a high-quality product from the French brand Soprema, was applied.
The second layer consists of Sopralene Flam Antirock P, also manufactured by Soprema.
Sopralene Flam 180 offers excellent flexibility and durability, making it ideal as a base layer. On top of that, Sopralene Flam Antirock P provides superior protection against UV radiation and mechanical stress, thanks to its white mineral-surfaced finish.
Especially suited for applications beneath asphalt, Antirock P ensures full adhesion, minimizing the risk of water infiltration and migration.
Comprehensive Surface Preparation & Precise Application
The success of a waterproofing project depends not only on high-quality materials but also on proper surface preparation and technical expertise.
The concrete screed surface was finished with a helicopter trowel, and all cracks and voids were thoroughly filled and repaired before the application.
First, Sopralene Flam 180 was torch-applied with full adhesion to the prepared surface. Then, Sopralene Flam Antirock P was applied as the second layer, also fully bonded.
To maximize waterproofing performance, overlap joints were carefully maintained — 15 cm on short edges and 10 cm on long edges between membrane sheets.

According to the agreement with our client, Dijle Construction, all quantities are measured and calculated on-site, ensuring a transparent and trustworthy process.

All Soprema waterproofing products used in the project come with a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty. As Evci Mühendislik, we additionally provide a 2-year warranty on workmanship. This gives our client peace of mind, with both materials and labor fully secured.
